Summer is coming!! I want to thank you for all your efforts during the last few weeks. I know that you have received lots of notices about all the exciting activities going on at Mad Art.

Our first few Saturdays at the Farmers Market have been fun and exciting generating lots of interests. ( We will not be there on the 4th of July but will need help for August 1st, September 5, and October 3rd.)

The ART Walk was deemed a grand success and we would like to continue this activity.

Re Use /Re ART has produced several events: The Exhibit RE-Imagined as ART, 30 Ways to Use a Chair, and Compost Theater.

Next will be the ART and Our Farms visits JUNE 24th – August 12th. You should have received an e-mailing if not let me know.

Several of the Chairs are now on display in the community at: Hamilton Whole Foods, Hamilton Movie Theater, The Palace, and Common Thread CSA. As other come in I will place them in the community as well.

The Gallery committee is busy developing a Members and Community Exhibit with the drop off June 19th and 20th. Opening Reception July 10th.

I’ll say it again, I appreciate the effort that everyone puts into keeping our operation running smoothly.

One of our most important jobs is that of Bookkeeper. Susan Bauman has graciously filled that role for almost 2 years and now needs to move on to other activities. She has organized everything so that it would be easy to step into this role. We need a member who would want to take on this special volunteer activity. If you can take on this very important task as your volunteer effort please call me at home 315-691 2967. Susan will be stepping down at the end of the month but I know she would willingly walk anyone interested in this vital task through any necessary review.

Also we are looking for individuals who would be interested in being on the PR committee Jane Porter has been the chair and needs to spend time with family in PA. If this sounds like a place that you can be of service also contact me. With all our activities this too is a vital committee.

We will have an intern from Colgate starting the 13th of July for 5 weeks. Rachael will have a number of task for her internship, (but not bookkeeping and PR). One will be help in organizing the ART and Farm Evenings and activities at the village concerts. She may be calling on you for your expertise.
Please let me know if you can take on any one of these activities. We can’t operate this organization without you.
