MAD Art, Inc. and Hamilton Business Alliance Co-Sponsor Art Walk

HAMILTON, NY –Hamilton’s Community Art Space and the Hamilton Business Alliance are again collaborating with downtown merchants to feature locally-created and world-renowned art works throughout the historic village’s downtown. The event will take place at a dozen downtown locations during Colgate’s busy Family Weekend – Friday, May 14th from 10AM-7PM, Saturday, May15th from 10AM-7PM and Sunday, May 16th from 10AM – 3PM.  

Art Walks are held in many communities around the country to highlight local artworks and invite residents and visitors to experience the artsy side of town. The event will provide opportunities to meet the artists, see the wealth of talent, visit the town’s historic buildings, and support local businesses.

Locations featuring local and regional artists will be: Evergreen Gallery; MAD Art Community Art Space in the Lebanon Street Alley; Swank, in it’s new location on the corner of Broad and Lebanon Streets; The Barge Canal Coffee Shop; and The Peppermill.

The Hamilton Post Office, which will be open Friday until 4:45 pm, and Saturday until 11:30 am, has works on permanent display by Denise Stillwaggon Leone and Lee Brown Coye.
